THE SIKSA began in Sunnybank in 2018, with a simple idea — to serve comforting, authentic Korean food that feels like a meal from home.
Humble beginnings
Starting as a small restaurant specialising in traditional Korean Gukbap (국밥), THE SIKSA soon became a place where the Korean community could enjoy the familiar flavours of Korea — the kind of food we grew up with and return to again and again.
Growing Years
Over the years, we wanted to bring those flavours to even more people. THE SIKSA expanded beyond the restaurant through our ready-to-enjoy Gukbap, Korean meal kits and online offerings, making it easier to enjoy authentic Korean comfort food at home.
The SikSa North Lakes
This new chapter brings THE SIKSA into a full-service dining experience, offering traditional Korean dishes, Korean BBQ, carefully selected meats and comforting flavours served fresh from the kitchen. Since 2018, our food has been built around warmth, familiarity and quality. At North Lakes, that story continues as a place to gather, dine and enjoy Korean food made properly.
